On 09/03/08 Kent Stallard sent the following information concerning his trading of the ETF UNG (Natural Gas):. . . . . Thanks Kent.
"You had asked me to write a short blurb on my trading of the nat. gas etf, UNG. We have now seen the decline to the first buy point which was last years low around 33.20. I entered half my long position @ 32.90 this morning. I will enter another quarter around 31.50 and the remaining quarter @ cold 29-30 if we see that before Sept 15. At any rate I will be fully long below 35. I am setting an initial target of 47 but if we have a very cold winter and/or another run up in energy prices, I could see moving this target to 50 or 55. This trade should be closed by early summer at the latest."
On 09/22/08 I received the following e-mail from David Pyle:
"I was sold on the groups rational for buying UNG and our previous discussions. I read the Morning Star report and it looks a lot more risky than I was led to believe. It all depends on the price of Natural Gas and a very cold winter. I do not think the great performance last year will be
replicated next year. But I am willing to be convinced."
Any comments on Dave's concerns?????

July 2008 Meeting Recap
Hi Gang:
Here's a recap of our July 23rd meeting. Up front, accept my apologies forthe delay.
Sixteen attended the meeting including two new members (Bob Salmon and HankThomas). Please join me in again welcoming them. There were 12 contributionstotaling $120.00 and this brought our cash on hand to $284.00. That hasallowed me to make two additional reservations for L107 with $84.00remaining. As of now we have paid for the room for the following dates:August 20th (Third Wednesday) and September 25th (Fourth Thursday).
I am including Kathy Park's recap of the stocks reviewed in the attached MSWord document.Alanna McHugh promised to provide information on the little known subtletiesand ramifications of Insider Buying and Selling. She has done that on our"Blog" (initiated recently by Mark Hopkins). To read it, please go tohttp://www.cfibd.blogspot.com where you can read her "post" along with anyof the other "posts" (9 so far). You can do all of that without logging in.If you want to enter a "post" (now or ever) you must "sign in." If youalready have a Google account, your ID & password for that will work. Ifyou do not, then go tohttps://www.google.com/accounts/NewAccount?continue=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.blogger.com
Kent Stallard volunteered to enter a "post" on cfibd.blogspot.com brieflydescribing how he has been profitably trading the seasonality of naturalgas. We all look forward to that.Having nothing to do with IBD, I was surprised to find that few in the groupknew about "The FairTax" movement. I promised to provide more informationabout this grassroots movement to replace the "broken" IRS and FederalIncome Tax with a national sales tax as an improved, fairer way to fund thecost of our Federal Government as well as help solve many of our currenteconomic problems (social security, Medicare, fleeing of corporations/jobsoverseas, etc.). If you are interested, AND YOU SHOULD BE, go tohttp://www.fairtax.org for more information, then see me about local activities. The next meeting of the Wilmington IBD Meetup Group will be on August 20th(THIRD Wednesday), 2008 and I will send a reminder before then.
